Rolex 3131 Serpico Y Laino Bubbleback 1940’s Double signed
Rolex Bubbleback Serpico Y Laino ref 3131 in Pink Gold from the 1940’s. A very rare specimen of the Rolex bubble back in 18k rose gold sold by the famous dealer in Caracas. The watch has the ultimate configuration with a pink dial in a pink metal case referred to as Pink on Pink. The raised indices in gold are further enhanced by a pearl like minute track. The blued steel second hand is beautifully striking over the dial while the elegant hour and minute hand are elegantly telling the time. The watch has no radium or lumious material and therefore remains in amazing condition still.
Serpico Y Laino Caracas
Serpico Y Laino was an Italian founded jewelry and watch company in Venezuela. Many important watches by rolex and patek Philippe have been sold by the Caracas based retailer, from which many have the retailers signature on the dial. Some of the best vintage Rolex watch found their origin in South America, this Rolex 3131 is one of the best examples of a Pink on Pink Rolex bubble back. The condition of the watch shows it has been taken care of well, not only from the outside but also the movement is pristine.
Condition
The condition of this Rolex 3131 Serpico Y Laino is very well preserved, the original dial remains untouched and the case is sharp and water resistant still. The applied indexes on the dial are amazing and the Serpico Y Laino signature really speaks. The dial shows some patina stains caused by contact erosion from the metals in the paint and the dial base plate, it remains unrestored and in very attractive condition. The watch comes on a leather strap by Artisan Aszodi and is fitted with a Rolex plated buckle. Of course it comes with 1 year full guarantee.
