Description

403.035 A Lange & Söhne Datograph on Wellendorff Bracelet

Lange & Söhne Datograph from 2001 in platinum. Maybe the best chronograph watch ever made, the quality of watches by A Lange & Söhne is incredible with the Datograph being a truly German over engineered movement. The Lange & Söhne Datograph with reference 403,035 was introduced in 1999, this example dates back to 2001 and has been sold by the German retailer Wempe.

A Lange & Söhne Wellendorff bracelet

For a while Lange & Söhne worked together with the Jewellery house of Wellendorff. They made exclusive bracelets in white gold, yellow gold and platinum for various Lange & Söhne watches. Most Wellenorff bracelets have been intergraded with the watch but some have an attachable bracelet like this Lange & Söhne Datograph. The bracelet has been ordered separately from the watch, it remains in very good condition and has been only worn occasionally. The Wellendorff bracelet in platinum can be considered the holy grail of watch bracelets and unfortunately Lange & Söhne does not work together with Wellendorff anymore. We have written a small article on different Lange watches with this bracelet here

Lange and Sohne Unique Datograph 2001

The Lange and Söhne Datograph

This Lange and Söhne Datograph can be considered as a unique chance to own a piece of Lange’s most precious watches combined with a bracelet from an era where the German Wellendorff artisans worked together with the watch firm. Since this collaboration has ended those bracelets are extremely rare and precious. The Lange and Söhne on wellendorff bracelet is highly recognised by collectors all over the world, one of my friends and fellow Lange enthusiasts also wrote a nice writing on this particular examples.
