Description

Bovet Mono-Rattrapante chronograph

Very rare and attractive Bovet wristwatch from the early 1940’s. The watch is featured in 18k rose gold and has a very special feature, the rattrapante function simplified by Bovet as the mono rattrapante.

These watches are very rare and seldom seen in precious metal, we are proud the offer this example for sale. It’s preserved in good condition, the dial is unrestored and has an incredible layout with blue and red printed scales. The watch case remains in good condition too, it shows a small dent in the caseback and left side of the watch. Furthermore the movement is running great, keeping time and the rattrapante chronograph function works smooth.

The purpose of a rattrapante function is to allow you to time two events. Two cars crossing the finish line at different times for example. The rattrapante function is fully function and activated by the lower pusher, the chronograph function works just like any monopusher chronograph.
