Description
Omega Honeycomb two tone Guilloche dial from 1947
Omega manual wound dresswatch with an amazing Honeycomb dial in yellow gold. The watch remains in pristine condition and dates back to 1947. It has an unusual case with stepped lugs and an amazing bezel structure. The case remains unpolished, sharp and like new. The two tone guilloche honeycomb dial is truly amazing. The dial remains untouched and clean and the two tone honeycomb technique used to make this dial is extraordinary.
This 1947 Omega has been made out of solid 18k yellow gold and is supplied with a plated buckle, the case measure 36mm and inside is running a manual wound caliber 420 which remains in new condition too. Most likely the watch has been sold in 1955. The watch bears initials and a gravure in its caseback dating it back to 1955. However the production date of the watch is 1947.
We can highlight enough how amazing this case is, the lugs and bezel are a perfect example how sharp lines and creative design can make a simple dress watch being outstanding. Apart from some minor scratches on the crystal the watch remains in new condition. We have chosen to keep the original Crystal, when you look closely in the pictures the omega logo is still present in the middel of the crystal.
