Rolex 16758 Nipple Dial Gmt-Master 18k Yellow Gold
Rolex 16758 gmt master from 1981 in yellow gold. A fascinating vintage sports Rolex watch in the best possible condition. This Rolex Gmt Master remains in full original condition with a fascinating black matte nipple dial. Although the watch is more then 40 years old it remains in unpolished and mint condition. The watch case has has developed a beautiful dark patina and the sharp edges of the lugs are perfectly intact. Furthermore the original bracelet remains tight and untouched.
The beautiful nipple dial has dark brown tritium indices which match perfectly with the original hands. Both dial and hands are untouched. What makes this Gmt master 16758 extremely collectible (besides its immaculate condition) is the presence of French hallmarks on the caseback and bracelet.
Rolex French Hallmarks
As this particular gmt master remains in perfect shape all hallmarks and numbers are clearly visible. This watch has originally been delivered in France, some gold Rolex watches are known to bear extra hallmarks on the case, some well known examples are the 6270 Daytona in gold as shown here. Those hallmarks including the ‘STE Rolex’ and ‘French Owl’ stamp are clearly visible on the caseback, inside clasp and outside of the clasp. There is even a Daytona known where the French Hallmarks are accompanied with a Hermes signature.
Condition

This Rolex 16758 Nipple dial from the 1980’s stands apart from the crowd for its immaculate mint condition. Also the French hallmarks are a nice addition to the watch history, its extremely hard to find a gold sports Rolex from the early 1980’s which has been scarcely worn like this one, furthermore the jubilee bracelet with old style clasp give the watch a very classic feeling on the wrist. The bracelet is tight and remains on full length, it can be adjusted at the clasp.
The watch movement has been carefully checked by our watchmakers and runs perfectly fine. As well as the rest of the watch the movement is untouched with no parts changed. The watch comes with 1 year full guarantee
