Vacheron & Constantin automatic wristwatch from the 1950’s in great condition. The movement is a bumper automatic which is developed by Vacheron & Jaeger Lecoultre in the begin of the 1950’s. This piece is featured in 18k yellow gold.
It has a waterproof two-body case made by C.R.Spillmann who also designed the Rolex Oyster case. You recognise them by the hammerhead 136 stamped inside the caseback. The movement is running strong and keeping time perfectly. The unrestored dial condition is perfect as well as the condition of the whole watch. It comes on an alligator leather bracelet or solid gold (gay frères) jubilee bracelet on request.
Gay Frères jubilee bracelet
This Vacheron watch has been sold in the 1950’s with an 18k gold jubilee bracelet. The maker of this very rare bracelet is Gay Frères who made watch bracelet for brands as; Rolex, Patek Philippe and Vacheron. The bracelet is on full length and has minimal stretch. The clasp has the GF signature together with the year letter of 1953. The bracelet has no brand signed on the clasp. Therefore it could fit any other high end gold watch.
As these bracelet are not very we popular for wearing these days but highly appreciated by collectors we give the option to buy with or without this very rare watch bracelet.
