Description
Vacxheron Constantin Chronometre Royal from 1957 in astonishing condition for the British market.
The Vacheron Constantin Chronomètre Royal stands among the most refined and technically advanced vintage dress watches of its era. Produced in the 1950s and delivered to the British market, this example is particularly rare – possibly unique – due to its configuration and outstanding preservation.
This 18k yellow gold watch features an integrated mesh bracelet made by David Shackman for Vacheron, stamped with London assay and Swiss import hallmarks on the clasp and inside the caseback. These marks confirm its Swiss origin and official importation into the UK – a detail highly appreciated among collectors,

Vacheron Constantin Raised Enamel dial
Its original raised enamel dial is an outstanding example of raised enamel printing, where the signature and minute track sit beautifully above the surface, giving the watch a depth and vibrance rarely seen today. Both the case and dial are in excellent, well-preserved condition, while the movement is in mint condition having all the screws polishing intact as well as any other part.
At its heart beats the Vacheron Constantin calibre P1007BS (the central second movement has caliber number p1008BS), a chronometer-grade movement with Geneva Seal, decentralized seconds, and hacking function – an uncommon and highly desirable combination. Very few examples of the Chronomètre Royal were produced with this layout, making it an exceptional collector’s piece.
