Audemars Pigment VZSSC in Steel from circa 1953
Audemars Piguet VZSSC wristwatch with the extremely rare and incredible Valjoux VZSSC movement. This 13” movement is developed in the 1930’s and has been used mainly by Audemars Piguet / Gubelin, Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe. Also heavy modified Valjoux 13” calibers can be found in chronograph watches from Patek Philippe like the 1518, 130, 1579 and 1463.
This particular example dates back to 1953 and has been modified to the highest standards by Audemars Piguet. It is fitted in a beautiful stainless steel case measuring 32mm, a small size time only wristwatch with the best movement possible. We have sold a few Audemars Piguet VZSS and VZSSC wristwatches at Vintage Times and this is definitely hour favorite with its elegant and sturdy steel case and silver dial.

Silver dial with applied hour markers
This Audemars Piguet VZSSC has one of the most beautiful dials we have ever seen, it is vertically brushed with an amazing grayish silver finish which is amazing in any kind of light. The subtle hour markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 are strong shaped and developed a beautiful patina, the dial remains in full original and untouched condition, it is charring in all its ways and angles and we are happy to supply you with more videos and pictures.
