Movado Yellow Gold Mother of Pearl and Breguet Numerals

Movado pocket watch from the 1920’s in mint condition. This Movado pocket watch is featured in yellow gold and remains in astonishing condition. The dial is made out of solid silver, it has a mother of pearl sector that index with gold breguet numerals. The dial has been produced by Stern, the famous dial maker who also made amazing dials for brands as Rolex, Patek Philippe and many more.

The whole watch remains in mint condition and well preserved. With its large 44mm case this gents pocket watch was very modern and high end for the 1920’s. It has one crown for setting both the time and winding the movement. The pocket watch is powered by a 15 jewels high-end finished manual wound in-house movement by Movado

 

Agemolu-Popovitz S-Son Bucuresti

As said before, this Movado pocket watch has the most extraordinary  dial with Breguet numerals in gold on a mother of pearl inlay. Furthermore the dial bearing the retailers name. It has been sold by ‘Agemolu-Popovitz S-Son Bucuresti’, who was an important jeweler in Bucharest during the first quarter of the 20th century. The sector dial has been made out of solid silver while the breguet numerals are applied at a bed of mother of pearl. As mentioned before the condition is mint. It need serious craftsmanship and experience to make a complicated dial like this one.

Although this pocket watch is around 100 years old it remains in immaculate condition. Just the inside of the caseback shows some scratches (probably initials), furthermore the watch is mint and the movement is running smooth and keeping time perfectly.
