For sale is this Patek Philippe Calatrava from the 1950’s. This reference 2508 is the first Patek Philippe Calatrava with a waterproof case which has the so called ‘vacuum case’ system designed by Francois Borgel.
the watch case features beautiful tear drop lugs and directly reminds to the famous Patek Philippe 1463 from the same era. The reference 2508 could be considered as a sporty watch with its 35mm waterproof case design.
The condition of this particular example is extremely well preserved. It features the most attractive dial with gold dagger hands and a blued steel central second. The condition of the untouched dial is 9 out of 10 as well as the case which remains in top condition and still got its original lines and finishing.
on top of the marvelous condition of this 2508 Calatrava it also comes with the original 1950’s box and guarantee. It’s extremely rare to find this reference in top condition and we consider the appearance of the original documents as the cherry on top. This is the ultimate Patek Philippe Calatrava for a gentlemen’s collection.
For the photographs we put the watch on a handmade leather strap made by artisan Atilla Aszodi but with the watch comes an original alligator leather Patek Philippe strap with the original 1950’s buckle.
