Rolex 5512 Submariner No Date 4 liner dial
Rolex 5512 submariner No Date from the mid 1970’s. The Rolex Submariner 5512 is the rare variant of the more known 5513 Submariner. Both watches look identical except the fact that the Rolex Submariner 5512 has four lines of tekst in stead of two. The Rolex Submariner 5512 is a Chronometer certified variant of the submariner, it has a more precise movement with micro Stella adjustment which gives it the chronometer certification. The extra lines added on the dial mention this with the sentence ‘ Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified.
Variations
There are many variations of the Rolex Submariner. From the Rolex Submariner 5512 the earliest models feature a gilt dial, later models like this one future a tritium matte dial. Some examples happen to have a service luminova dial as well. This Rolex Submariner 5512 with no Date has been serviced with Rolex in 2007, after the service it has not been worn much. The watch therefore remains in very good and well maintained shape.
Condition
The condition of this Rolex 5512 no date is extremely good. It has a beautiful matte dial with original tritium indices turned into a beautiful vanilla colored tone. The original tritium hands also have a beautiful vanilla color. Furthermore the case of the watch remains in very good shape with its fat and sharp lugs. The original fat font bezel has a blue faded color and the steel 9315 diving bracelet remains tight and in good shape too.
