Tiffany and Co minute repeater pocket watch 1916

Tiffany and co minute repeater pocketwatch from the early 20th century. Dating back to 1916 this pocketwatch retailed by Tiffany and Co. could be considered as one of the most high-end examples of the time together with Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe.

The movement Running inside is signed Tiffany and Co New York and has been made by Touchon, a high-end movement supplier for different brands. It has 29 jewels including jeweled hammers for the repeater. The Minute repeater is working perfectly fine.

This Tiffany and Co minute repeater measures 46mm and has a sliding mechanism to activate the repeater. The case is made out of 18k gold and is signed by Tiffany and Co as well. Furthermore the case is decorated with blue enamel initials from the first owner. A minute repeater pocket watch was something extremely costly at the time and still. Minute repeater watches from high end quality still belong to the most expensive and complex complications for watchmaking today.

Condition and repeater sound

As mentioned this Tiffany and Co repeater belongs to the highest grade minute repeater watches available at the time. The sound of the gong is gentle and clear. The watch case gives the repeater a fantastic spectrum of a genlte but noticeable and beautiful sound. Of course we can send some videos of the repeater working and singing. Furthermore the watch case and dial remain in very well preserved condition. Its almost unthinkable the watch is more then one hundred years old. The case show minimal wear and dents as well as the dial which seems spotless except one small hairline from the centre to 11 o clock, only noticeable under certain light with magnification. The movement has been carefully checked and is in great working and full original condition. This is a watch you wont come across any time soon in this magnificent and well preserved condition.
