Patek Philippe ‘tasti Tondi’

The Patek Philippe Ref. 1463, affectionately nicknamed “Tasti Tondi” after its distinctive round pump pushers, stands as one of the most legendary vintage chronographs ever made. Elegant, sporty, and beautifully proportioned, the 1463 represents the perfect balance between form and function — and this example, in 18k pink gold, is nothing short of exceptional.
Produced from the 1940s through the mid-1960s in a total run of roughly 750 pieces, the vast majority of 1463s were cased in yellow gold or stainless steel. The pink gold version is exceedingly rare, with estimates suggesting fewer than 150 pieces were made. The combination of a pink gold case and matching pink dial — known as “pink on pink” — makes this configuration particularly desirable among connoisseurs. The case shape of the 1463 with its teardrop lugs is so beautiful and the chronograph version in 35mm is the ultimate vintage Patek Philippe gents watch. Here the Patek 1463 chronograph among two 2509 Calatrava’s and a 2508.

This watch features a 35mm waterproof case, made by Francois Borgel, and is fitted with the signature Tasti Tondi pushers, turbine-shaped for improved grip and unmistakable character. The case remains in beautiful minimally polished condition, retaining its original lines, hallmarks, and proportions.
Its dial is 100% original, never restored or refinished, and displays an outstanding example of raised enamel printing, with warm natural patina on the markers and hands. It is incredibly rare to find a 1463 with a dial this honest and well preserved — a true collector’s dream.
