Rolex 6082 Precision ‘Super Oyster’ wristwatch
Very well preserved Rolex oyster 34mm from the early 1950’s. The watch condition is very good and fully original. It has a two-body oyster case which was very common in the 1950’s, later Rolex oyster watches have a three-body case with a non fixed bezel.
The body of the case remains in very good condition and hasn’t been polished, the super dome plexiglass crystal shows some scratches but is full period correct and not often still on the watch after more then 50 years. Also the watch bears the original ‘Super Oyster’ crown, this is one of the first oyster crown systems and often replaced at rolex service.
The dial is a tritium service dial from the 1960’s when Rolex changed dials containing radium for non hazardous tritium examples. The dial condition is mint and unrestored, it has beautiful gold indices and hands which give the watch a gentle look. With it’s 34mm case size the watch is designed for men but could be worn by woman as well these days. We can supply the watch with an original riveted bracelet on request.
