Two Movado Calendar watches from the 1950’s
We are proud to present to very similar watches made by Movado in the 1950’s. Both watches features the same spectacular 35mm stepped case in 18k gold Yellow and Pink gold. We should mention that most example on the market found are made of 14k gold.
The dial configuration on both watches is different in condition as well as the hands, the rose gold model has dagger shaped hour and minute hands and a straight hand with balloon dot for indicating the date, the yellow gold example has different dagger hands, known from the Calatrava and a red arrow hand for indicating the date.
Both watches have a two-tone dial finish where the yellow gold example shows more patina then the pink example, despite the age of almost 70 years old the watches remain in original and unpolished condition.
They are powered by a 15 jewels manual wound in-house Movado movement as shown here
