Gübelin Calendar watch Triple Date Valjoux 90
Attractive Gübelin calendar wristwatch with a triple date calendar from the 1950’s. Gübelin is a well known jewelry house from Switzerland (Luzern) which sells high-end timepieces and jewelry. In the 1950’s the Gübelin company produced very interesting wristwatches from outstanding quality. The dial of this beautiful gem is signed E.Gübelin Lucerne.
This Gübelin calendar dates back to the early 1950’s and is featured with a modified valjoux 90 movement, the condition and finishing of the movement has been done inhouse at the Gübelin workshops in Lucerne. Gübelin watches are well known for their good finishing, the company used good parts suppliers and all movement parts have been hand finished by the watchmakers from the workshops in Luzern. Because the company is well known with high end brands like Patek Philippe and Rolex the skills of their craftmen can be considered as very good.
The movement inside this beautiful black Triple date calendar watch is a Valjoux 90 based movement, decorated with cotes de Geneva finishing and running precisely and strong. The black dial is stunning, it shows some patina but nevertheless the dial is very attractive and clean. The gold hands together with the blued hand for the date indicator give the watch a sporty yet gentle look.
The watch case measured circa 35mm and we supplied it with a steel bracelet with polished midlinks, the watch looks also fantastic on a leather strap, its the perfect watch to put under a suit with a leather strap and wear on steel when feeling a little more sporty or casual
